The parade itself does not last that long - nor is it taped on Christmas Day. Parts of it are live - such as narration - but that's how they can tout it as "live." It is actually taped over a period of several days for broadcast on the 25th of December. What takes up the two hours are non-parade things like showing the narrators and interviews and showing behind the scenes segments. I know this because I worked for The Disney Company for 24 years and was always part of the process. You can generally count on 2 hours.
