Yom Kippur War
In October 1973, on the holy Yom Kippur day (the fasting Day of Atonement), was also Israe’s darkest day in history, a day of infamy. It was a day Israel’s largest enemies joined together to strike her in a deadly surprise attack that once again put this tiny proud nation again in a extermination threat. Israel was pathetically outnumbered and against far more advanced Soviet weapons. The entire populace of Israel – immigrants of every generation and from every walk of life- rushed to the fronts to defend the Jewish Homeland from the imminent threat, a threat was only removed when the IDF was just 50 miles from Cairo and the Soviet Red army threatened to intervene. However, it was Israe’s most fatal war. The story carries you through those suspenseful days – from warning to ceasefire, with detailed maps, clearly illustrated attack points and up-close footage from both the home and the war fronts.
