Usually in cases where the children have been left in the care of the grandparents and it is the grandparents have made a complaint, they are awarded temporary custody! They usually prefer to have a family member to take care of the children rather than to have the children become a ward of the state! If the complaint proves to be true and if the parents are deemed unfit parents, then usually the grandparents are awarded full custody.
