My mom is wondering what holidays does islam celebrate and what the people there do,cook, and look like. Please help!!

muslims dont celebrate christmas or dont eat pork, they dont drink alcohol either. i dont know what your talking about putting the hand on the forhead when a person dies? that doesnt make sense..
well 1st of all you make it sound like islam is a place, its not a place its a religion.
muslims celebrate eid which is a celberation we have after ramadan, during ramadan we fast for 30 days from sunrise to sunset
we have 2 different eids
thats pretty much the only holidays a real sunni muslim would celebrate
what do people look like? well theyres a pic of me on my avatar so u have a somewhat idea, a lot of muslims are from pakistan,india, afghanistan, iraq and many other countries
different cultures have different food like i myself am pakistani and some common food we make is pakora,somasa,biryani, nihari, tandoori chicken you can find the recipes for them online
some muslims also celerbate the birthday of our 1st prophet (pbuh) your not really suppose to celebrate it but some people do
OK THERE ARE 2 CELEBRATIONS A YEAR:
. They eat the sheep they slaughtered and depending on their culture anything else such as rice.
EID AL ADHA: its is celebrated in the memory of ibrahim and how he sacrificed his son’s life for the love of god.
Muslims gather together with their family and friends, they traditionaly slaughter a sheep in the name of god and they share the slaughtered sheep with the poor. Muslims wear the nicest peice of clothing they own
EID AL FITR: It is celebrated after RAMADAN. Ramadan is a month where muslims do not eat all day until sunset for a whole month. This is done because muslims feel that they should show their love to god that way and they realize how their life is blessed as they have food and give money to the poor.
Muslims wear the nicest peice of clothing. They eat anything really depending on their culture. there is not such thing as ”islamic” food so its all cultural at the food section
They gather with their family and friends and have fun!
